Program Description
Event Details
Learn the process of producing a comic book and how to develop a backstory for your own characters.
Work together to create an original character and their defining traits. Using provided supplies, illustrate and write a continuation of that character from a story prompt.
Supplies made possible by the 2025 Will Eisner Graphic Novel Growth Grant. Each attendee receives a black brush marker, art pencil kit, sketch pad, and assorted color brush pen set to use at the event and take home.
Optional: submit your creation for MCDL's Teen Art Show.
